Yelapa Walking Tour and Boat Adventure

Yelapa Harbor on a Yelapa Walking Tour
Coconuts Puerto Vallarta Yelapa

We will meet at 8:00 am in the Romantic Zone to begin our Yelapa Tour.  We will walk a few blocks and take a bus to catch a water taxi.  Along the way the guide will introduce and discuss some interesting sites, restaurants, and shops.  The water taxi will take us to the remote and beautiful fishing village of Yelapa.

During the boat ride be vigilant for whales during the winter season as many make their home in our bay and then return to the waters off Alaska for the summers.  The coastline during this trip is also a beautiful sight to behold.  The guide will point out many of the small beaches and ranchos along the way worth a visit on future trips.

Upon arrival in Yelapa, we will begin our walking adventure through this extremely beautiful and carless seaside village.

We will stop for lunch approx. 1:00 PM.  There are a number of options that you will have been introduced to during the tour so everyone will be free to choose their favorite. There are two areas for lunch, in the center of town or on the East beach where the restaurants will allow free use of their lounges and chairs when you order off their menus.

One of the main attractions that we will visit in Yelapa is the waterfall.  There is a pool below, so swimming is encouraged.  And the adventure leader will spend sufficient time so everyone can get a swim.

The other major attraction (besides for the amazing walking paths) is the "Museum of History, Art & Culture of Yelapa."  Entrance is included in the tour and we will spend up to 30-50 minutes at the museum.  At the museum you will have the opportunity to learn detailed history of the village and area for the most trusted and informed source - don't miss this opportunity.

The final 2 hours or so are set aside for lunch and free time.  (Enjoy the beach, revisit the waterfall or go shopping...)
